Don't Text While Driving!

We had a lot of fun in the studio today with Robert Vernon Clark, Jr. and Allan W. Steinhorn from Clark & Steinhorn law.  They talked to us about the dangers of texting while driving and how they can help people if they've been hurt in a car accident by someone they believe was text messaging while the accident happened.  We took video of Robert texting on his phone while he talked about how his firm has seen an increase in texting while driving cases.  It showcased how you simply can't pay attention to the road while texting with your phone.  Not only that, but it shows that you are actually driving blind for seconds at a time!  Robert made a good point too: at least while driving drunk, your eyes are on the road.

As a result, DC has been at the forefront of legislation regarding cell phone use while driving.  If you've been paying attention to the news lately, you may have noticed an increase in reports of accidents involving metro buses and trains.  Many of these public transportation drivers have come under fire for text massaging while operating these vehicles.  Isn't that scary?  Bottom line everybody:  don't text while you drive.

Another fact we learned today: only about 10% of lawyers are trial lawyers!  I thought I'd share that, simply because I assumed that most lawyers are trained in going to trial.  Guess not.  But these guys are!  This way you know that they're trained to fight for you in court.
