Fairfax Video Studio Gains Exclusive Access to Redskins Practice
Two of our very own DC based video production specialists from Fairfax Video Studio were granted exclusive access to a Redskins players-only practice in Baltimore. The event, which was overseen by the NFL Players Association, was a great opportunity for Jim Folliard and Don Napoleon to show off their expertise in video and photography.
The practice was not open to the public and only certain media outlets were granted access. The practice, which was technically more of an event than practice, was hosted by Carl Francis, the Director of Communications of the NFLPA. His goal was to have his players show the fans just how much they want to end the current lockout and play football. The members of Fairfax Video Studio had complete access to the players thanks to Mr. Francis.
As the heated negotiations between the NFLPA and the NFL rage on, the players have been promoting a campaign to communicate their side of the story to the public. The NFLPA has even released online videos, some of which are available on YouTube, in which players and fans alike are pleading to the owners to allow them to end the standoff so play can resume.
The NFLPA understands how important and influential Web video can be to a campaign. With the latest data showing that over 70% of Americans are viewing online videos and that websites offering video have a 4-7 times higher likelihood of visitor engagement, there is no reason to avoid Web video. Video is becoming a standard part of the internet experience, and users are demanding high quality, unique video. If you have been putting off adding video to your marketing campaign, you may want to reconsider.
