Web Video Should Be Your New Year’s Resolution

You should make a list of New Year’s Resolutions not only for yourself but also for your business or firm.  At the very top of that list should be integrating web video into your marketing.  You need video on your site and on YouTube, and you need to be creating new videos on a regular basis.  Does this sound overwhelming?  Here are few things to get you started in the New Year.

  • Buy A Video Camera – Video cameras have never been this cheap or easy to get.  Do a little research and find a camera that fits your budget.  You can get one for as little as $50 or as much as $10,000.  The point is that you can’t create any video if you don’t have one.  Having the right tools is the first step.
  • Write down ideas – It’s a good idea to carry around a notebook and a pen at all times for a myriad of reasons.  If you get an idea for a video, write it down and when you get back home, write a quick script.  Your videos don’t need to be long or complicated, but they do need to be interesting and informative.
  • Find a studio near you – If you don’t have time to learn to edit video, you may want to find a studio that can do it for you.  A green screen studio will allow you a ton of flexibility when it comes to matching colors to your website and branding videos with your logo.  A healthy mix of in-studio and on-location videos is a good thing.

At the Fairfax Video Studio, we have a green screen, professional editors and we can film on location.  Take a look at our gallery to see our work, and give us a call 877.477.STUDIO or fill out a contact form.
